Hey ladies, you know how busy our schedules are.
Appointments, to-do lists, working, taking care of the
house, etc. Well, it’s time for a break. Join the women of
Desert Springs for our annual Women’s Retreat, October
1st-3rd in the cool pines of Williams, Arizona.
This is a great opportunity to get some relaxation, and
escape from the every day demands that keep us so busy. It
is a chance to
recharge and get back in touch with what’s important. It is
also an awesome opportunity to get to know some of the women
of DSBC in a fun, friendly environment.
The retreat will be held at Young Life’s Lost
Canyon in
Williams. It offers women the chance to fellowship with
other women and attend seminars tailored to their needs or
spend quiet time alone.
The Speaker
This year’s guest speaker is Susanne Scheppmann. With a
compassionate heart and a deep love for Jesus, Susanne
Scheppmann offers a genuine faith to women of all ages. She
speaks with humility, warmth and humor. Susanne’s engaging
storytelling and creative teachings help relate biblical
principles to the everyday circumstances of today’s women.
She is a down-to earth woman with a contagious faith in
Jesus and an enthusiastic love for life. Susanne’s messages
are fun,fearless, and fulfilling.
Worship Leaders
Hosanna will lead us in worship. The 4
vocalists of HOSANNA, Lauri Wieland, Chris Hammond, Giselle
Fox and Julie Thompson started
singing together in 1994 at Grace Community Church in Tempe
Arizona. They are accompanied by Marlynn Rey on keyboard.
Their love for unique harmonies, and praising the Lord
through music, brought them together and has kept them going
strong as they seek to honor God with their music wherever
He sends them.
Fun Stuff
The retreat also offers women the opportunity to challenge
themselves physically with hikes in the forest or on the
camp’s ropes course high in the treetops. During free time,
shoppers can get their fix hunting for antiques in cute and
historical downtown Williams.
The Rooms
Lost Canyon has five camper dorms. Rooms are available in
three sizes: 10, 12 and 14 beds. There are connecting doors
between rooms as well, in case you have a larger group.
